Steam Locomotive #142#142
No. 142 which was built in the Peoples Republic
of China in 1988 by the TangShan Locomotive
Works. TangShan is the last place in the world
still producing new steam engines. The
locomotive resembles trains from an era long
ago. The engine, with tender, weighs
approximately 154 tons, including ten tons of
coal and 6,000 gallons of water.

Our Railroad...
The Delaware River Railroad Excursions were
started in the spring of 2003 as a partnership
between the Phillipsburg Urban Enterprise Zone, The
Black River and Western Railroad and The New York
Susquehanna & Western Technical & Historical Society
Inc.
